I can totally understand you. I think it also depends heavily on the type of service you offer. In services like logo design or writing, the project scope is rather small and quickly done (in comparison to services like web design). This can result in clients that are more likely to switch to another freelancer. However, I think that especially writing is a service that can be frequently and repeatedly demanded by a single client. Maybe it was just an unlucky client pick. :/
